Mean Mommy

I'm telling you, it sucks when I have to be the mean mom.

The disciplinarian.

The one where your child won't talk to you because she's mad at you.

Because you had to punish her.

Because she was being mean to her sister.

She certainly did not like it at all when I told her she couldn't go to her friend's house and play after school.

But I think I'm doing something right because after I talked with her about it after school and left her alone for a little while, she went up to her sister and apologized and has been nice ever since.

So I think she "gets" it when I talk to her.

Either that or she's just playing me and blowing smoke up my ass.

I'm really hoping it's the first one though.
