In A World of Their Own.....

Ahhh, toddlers and preschoolers..... you know, when they get their mind set on something, that's it for them. My little one likes to CONSTANTLY repeat herself! One time DH lost count trying to count how many times she repeated something! Sometimes I often wonder if there is something wrong with her, as she will continue to do that for a 1/2 hour straight! I'm sure there's not, but it's just so different, the difference in my two kids. The first one was a lot better to handle. This one is just SO high spirited! I need to build a track in my backyard and have her run around it for a few hours! She is constantly on the go!

And talk about determined! We are trying to potty train her, but we are doing it very slowly. Even bribes don't work that well with her. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want and that's it. Her grandparents are getting her some underwear and a potty dolly for her birthday. Maybe that will help! I know though, that if we push it too hard, she will regress and purposely NOT do it! I know these traits will come in very well when she is older but right now it drives me crazy!

Plus she has such a loud voice! You know, you'd think that a preemie would not be like this! They come out so small and helpless, but she has sure made up for that!

I love her with all my heart and I do love watching her be so animated and playful, but man can she tire me out!

Sigh......"Calgon, take me away!".............

Shopping for the Kids

I have to say, so far it's been very nice being able to find things on the clearance rack that my child will wear. I know the time will come one day where it's "full price, because it's new, or nothing" Or even getting somewhat of a deal on the "newest and latest". Went to look for clothes for my oldest for school that starts back up in about a month. We didn't find much at all, but I did find a pair of Dickies jeans that were clearanced out for $4.50! How cool is that! Of course it's 1 size too big for her. And come to find out, I bought the same pants in her size about a month ago! Go figure! Oh well, at least she'll be wearing that style of jeans for quite a while! LOL!! And for the first time, I didn't go overboard on my youngest, buying clothes for her! They didn't have much for her that I liked. Can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks when they will clearance out even more! I tell you, I LOVE clearance shopping! I love being able to get a deal and spend $50 on clothes that normally would cost $250 or so! Of course I have to make sure that the clothes are cute, no way am I going to just buy it because it's on sale.

Of course my oldest wants a "Jansport" backpack and "Skechers" shoes. Hmmm.....hopefully Costco will have the backpack in a color she'll like, because I think that's the cheapest place to get them. I can usually get good deals on Skechers at Mervyn's too.

Ahhhh, sales......Target's an evil place I tell you! I get SUCH great deals there on their clearance stuff at the end of the aisle! At least I have been curbing myself lately, and saying to myself, "Do I REALLY need this? Why do I want this???" It certainly helps some!

Ahhhh, shopping, I just love it! Too bad my house isn't big enough to hold all the stuff I want to buy! At least that curbs the shopping a little bit! And it's not like I'm a shopaholic, I just love great deals! Now I just need to find some good quality furniture at a good deal. I'd love to go to the swapmeet one weekend with hubby's truck. Maybe I'd find something good there.

I think I ought to clean out my house first. Purging, here I come....and Salvation Army...that's where it'll end up!

Well, dinner's ready now...........

From a Childhood Journal to a Blog......

It's amazing how far technology has come, hasn't it? I remember getting my first "diary" when I was about 9 or 10. I ALWAYS wrote in it! I had that thing from the time I was 9 until my early 20's! It was such a release for me, to write things down! Gotta love the blogs nowadays, now I can write via the net! Too cool!

Of course the things I write about are far different now, than they were then. Going from writing about the boy you liked, and how he asked you to go steady, but you weren't sure if you wanted to, because it might mean you had to kiss him! To nowadays, "hey, I wonder what I'll make for dinner", and "Wow, you'll never believe the deal I got on the clearance rack at Target!" Damn, things sure change, don't they?

That diary I had, I just loved it so much! But, then came the day when I got married, and moved in with my husband. All of the sudden, it was like, uh oh, he might come across it one day and read it! Let's burn the thing! So I tore it up and threw it away. Gosh, I wish I had never done that! Live and learn! I wish I had put it in a lock box and left it at my mom's. Of course there are things in there that no one should ever read about, but that's what diaries are for, aren't they? Ah, but at least I still have the memories of growing up and all that went on! Maybe I'll share some stuff one day............
